1. Setting Up

Before logging into an online class, move to a quiet location with a strong Wi-Fi signal. Online classes assume that you are participating alone in the room. If multiple students join the same class from the same space, the microphones and speakers may create audio feedback (a loud howling or echoing sound). To prevent this, we strongly recommend using a headset with a microphone rather than relying on your computer’s built-in microphone and speakers.

2. Audio Check

The following expressions will be used often at the beginning of each classroom session. Click on each picture to hear the sound.

Teacher: きこえますか。(Can you hear me?)
